Education Policy and Procedures

POLICY

The Professional Development Committee will offer the following classes during the course of a fiscal year:

  • NAR’s Code of Ethics with New Member Orientation – Every month
  • New Agent Course – Quarterly
  • Contracts / Forms  – Quarterly (Dave Johnson, Kreg Wagner, Michael Hebert, Linda Leavitt, Tom Jacobson)
  • Radon & Mold and Water Damage – twice annually
  • Broker Licensing Course – Every other year
  • CPR, Self-defense, and Safety Training – once annually for each
  • Legal Hot Topics (Shane Norris, Kreg Wagner, Utah Association of REALTORS®) - Quarterly
  • Technology related course – Once quarterly (may include ePro, Top Producer, REALTOR.com, Wasatch Back Websites)
  • Tax Strategies / Investment / Financial security for Real Estate Pros – At least twice annually: November, January
  • Local Expert Designation – Offer each required class at least once annually
  • 60 hours of REBAC designation courses – RSPS (7), Green (14), ABR (12), SRS (12), NHC (7), PSA (7), ePro (7), add Council of Residential Specialist (CRS) and Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Real Estate Investing: Build Wealth Representing Investors & Becoming One Yourself
  • Nationally renowned  keynote speaker – Goal is Twice annually
  • MLS Training courses – Once per month (various courses)
    • Transaction Desk I & II
    • Intro to Matrix & Client Portal
    • Advanced Searches
  • MLS Training courses – Every other month (various courses)
    • Realist
    • CMAs
    • MLS Statistics

REGISTRATION

Payment in full is required to register.  All cancellations require a 24 hour notice or registration fees are forfeit. REBAC courses must cancel 72 hours in advance.

TIMELINE

The Professional Development Director will setup classes six months in advance at the request of the Professional Development Committee.
