Sam Aplanalp, Associate Broker with Discovery Properties

I received my Real Estate License in 2005 & my Brokers License in 2008.  I am now part owner of Discovery Properties in Kamas & most of my work is on the East side of Summit County.  

For the last three years I have served on the PCBOR Political Action Committee & I am currently serving as its Co- Chair.  For the last two years I served on the UAR Legislative Committee.  I have always loved & been fascinated with local & state politics & I have served as a State and County Delegate.  I have enjoyed learning and growing from these various capacities.  I currently serve on the Oakley Rodeo Committee as well as being involved with other community groups.

I feel that the PCBOR needs to achieve a better working relationship with UAR & lawmakers who greatly affect our profession, & I believe I can help in that cause.  I’m excited to serve and learn as a Director.

I was born and raised in Oakley, Utah & am a proud graduate of South Summit High School. I attended Utah State University & lived in South America for 2 years doing missionary work then worked in Newport Beach, California  for 3 years.  My wife (Tiana) teaches Spanish in Park City at Treasure Mt. Jr. High.  We love the outdoors, especially ranching, hunting & fishing.

Christine Grenney, Agent with Equity Real Estate Luxury Group

A native of the Connecticut and New York, Christine Grenney became a resident of Park City during the excitement of the Winter Games in 2002 and she hasn’t looked back since.

Upon graduating from Vanderbilt University, she spent two years working in the Lloyd’s of London insurance marketplace, followed by stints in Atlanta, New York and New Orleans, accruing 15 years of diverse sales experience in top brands, including Xerox, Microsoft and the ever-popular House of Blues in the French Quarter.

In 2007, Christine was a recipient of the Park City Board of Realtors Distinguished New Member Award. Of over 1,000 agents, she was one of only eight Realtors to receive the honor, with requirements including community service, Task Force involvement, continuing education participation, and volume of transactions closed. In 2008, Christine received a Professional Achievement Award reflecting continued involvement in her community, real estate production and continuing education.  She served on the MLS Committee and was also one of six agents asked to serve on the Keller Williams Agent Leadership Council.  After 7 years at Keller Williams, Christine joined Equity Real Estate Luxury Group in 2012.  She is currently working towards her Broker's license.

Christine believes in service from the ground-up.  That means she's formed a foundation of integrity, sincerity and client service – the kind of base on which long-term friendships and relationships are firmly built. With this solid backing, Christine has become a dynamic sales agent with expertise on the Park City real estate market.

Christine lives in Park City with her husband, Mike, their daughters, Lila (aged four) and Anika (aged one), and their black lab, Bear (aged 12).  Her favorite place to re-charge and gain perspective is on one of Park City's many hiking or skiing trails.

Christine's enthusiasm for her profession, appetite for a challenge and respect of her peers will make her a valued addition to our esteemed Board of Realtors.
 

 

 



 

Suzanne Sheridan, Associate Broker with Prudential Utah Real Estate

Suzanne Sheridan grew up in the real estate business, as the child of successful Realtors from Marco Island, Florida. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Marketing Degree and tried to resist the draw of the Real Estate industry by starting her career in finance.
In 2001, Suzanne became a licensed Real Estate Agent.  During the past twelve years, Suzanne has served on Environmental Committee, Statistics Committee and the Forms Committee.  In 2005, she was invited to be a member of the Utah State Forms Committee where she spent countless hours rewriting the Real Estate Purchase Contract.

Well respected by her colleagues at Prudential, Suzanne was elected to Company Advisory Committee in 2010 where she served as a voice for agents in the company.  She and her peers helped establish some insightful training programs and community involvement.

Her community involvement includes being appointed to COSAC (Citizens Open Space Advisory Committee) where she was involved in many key acquisitions including the Armstrong and Osguthorpe properties. Suzanne was recently appointed to the PTO Board for McPolin Elementary. 

In her spare time, Suzanne loves spending time with her three young daughters and husband, Jay, who is also her business partner.  As an avid trail runner, Suzanne is proud to have gone head to head with a moose and lived to tell the tale.

Her experience, commitment to detail, and love of the work itself make her an excellent choice for the Park City Board of Directors.
 

 

 



 

Nancy Tallman, Agent with Summit Sotheby's International Real Estate

Nancy is a native of Los Angeles, California, where she earned an undergraduate degree from California State University and a Master’s degree from UCLA.   She spent 16 years in the health care field negotiating multi-million dollar contracts between physician groups, hospitals and insurance companies.  She relocated to Park City with her husband, Larry, and their two children in 2003, when Larry accepted a position for a company based in Salt Lake City.  When Larry was offered another opportunity, back in Los Angeles, he agreed to commute so they could continue to raise their children in Park City, with its excellent schools and its diverse and accessible recreational opportunities.  The family appreciates the rich cultural climate in Park City, as well as its small town charm.

Nancy is an active participant in the Park City Board of Realtors®.  She is a 4-time recipient of the Park City Board of Realtors® Professional Achievement Award and was one of the first agents to be designated as a “Park City Local Agent”.   She became a full-time Realtor® in 2006 when she joined Keller Williams Park City Real Estate and quickly became a high producer. While at KW, Nancy served on its “Agent Leadership Council and chaired the KW Cares Committee and Co-Chaired the Education Committee.  In 2008 she was honored with both the KW local brokerage and KW statewide “Spirit Award”.  Nancy has participated in the Luxury Home Tour for many years and has been a house captain twice.  She has also been an active member of the Park City Board of Realtors® Education and Forms Committees.  Last year, Nancy joined Summit Sotheby’s International Realty. 

Nancy is an outstanding community volunteer.  While her children attended Park City Academy, she served as President of the PTO and later became a member of its Board of Trustees.  She was one of three trustees appointed to explore the merger with the Colby School and was actively involved in the initial launch of the Park City Day School, chairing its Marketing Committee.  Nancy has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the organizations she supports.  She has chaired fundraisers for Soaring Wings Montessori School and Park City Academy and chaired the Annual Fund for Park City Academy.  She has also served on the Membership Committee for the United Way of Salt Lake Women’s Philanthropic Network and chaired the United Way of Salt Lake Summit County Leadership Council.  This year she is honored to be joining the Park City Education Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

Nancy has completed the Park City marathon, half-marathon, Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay Race and is currently an avid participant in CrossFit.  Nancy believes that the energy, commitment and dedication required to excel in fitness are the same qualities that have allowed her to grow her real estate business and give back to the community.  She looks forward to utilizing her passion for real estate and volunteer experience to represent the interests of Park City’s real estate community.  She is honored to be considered as a nominee to the Park City Board of Realtors® Board of Directors.
 

 

 







Election for 2013 Board of Directors:


The election for the 2013 Board of Directors will be held on August 16th at the Board Luncheon being held at Promontory.

You have the following options to vote:
1)      Vote in person at the luncheon.
2)      On-line at www.ParkCityRealtors.com beginning on 1:00 p.m. on August 16th through 5:00 p.m. on August 23rd.
3)      Request a paper/absentee ballot in advance and fax to the Board Office (435.200.6901), or deliver in person, beginning August 9th through 5:00 p.m. on August 23rd.

There will be 2 – three year term positions open on the Board of Directors. 

Patrick Giblin and Heather Peterson’s terms are expiring. Tami Whisker, Deb Hartley, Marc Coulam, Marcie Davis and Jeff Spencer are remaining.
